Steamed rice

Ofcourse this is not a recipe, but for non-Asian people it is always difficult to prepare. Sometimes the rice is to wet other times it got a little bit too hard. That’s why we give you some tips we learned from the Lostboys travel.

Tip 1. Wash your rice before you start cooking it.

Tip 2. Put the rice directly in the water, not when the water is already boiling.

Tip 3. It is always difficult to decide how much water you put in your pan. There is a trick for this. Put the rice in the pan. Then you put your index finger on the rice straight upward. Fill the pan with water until two bones of your indexfinger.

Tip 4. Take your time! Put the fire on middle/high temperature until the water is boiling. Then you change the fire to a low temperature and take your time. In between you have to taste it until you decide it’s perfect.
